Marqués de Cáceres Crianza Rioja Half Bottle 37.5cl.
Aged in oak barrels. Intense bouquet of fresh redcurrants and raspberries that rest on delicate notes of soft spice.
The wines of Marqués de Cáceress are made as a partnership between one of the region's most innovative producers and Michel Rolland, one of the world's leading consultant winemakers. Their class and breeding shines through. An exquisitely fresh and elegant wine with floral and delicate herbaceousness on the nose, and rich redcurrant, wild strawberry and raspberry sorbet flavours dominating the palate. The fruit was selected from some of the highest slopes in Rioja Alta. After crushing, the grape skins soaked in the juice for several hours to produce an attractive rose colour and flavour. Fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks at low temperatures. The wine was bottled young to preserve its vibrant, red berry flavours. This wine has been made from a blend of Tempranillo and Garnacha, approximately 80% and 20% respectively, from vines on the highest slopes of the Rioja Alta region. The grapes are macerated for several hours, after which the must separates from the skins, oozing out and beginning the slow process of fermentation. Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. No oak has been used to age the wine.
