This wine is made from 100% Montepulciano and is vinified in temperature controlled vats, aged for one year in stainless steel vats and given four to five months in oak, before bottling.

There is often an initial confusion between Montepulciano, the grape, and Montepulciano the Tuscan town. This is the grape. Although it has given the name to the major DOC for the region of Abruzzo, the Montepulciano grape is cultivated extensively throughout the southern half of Italy and features in many blends.
