60% Tempranillo 40% Graciano with a minimum of 24 months of barrel aging and more than 5 years of bottle aging.
Very full and varied flavour, suggestions of ripe red fruit, recently tasted nuts, cocoa, fine vanilla and accompanied by gentle hints of balsamic and spices, well rounded and structured. Sweet tannins, lingering presence of fruit not withstanding its age. All of which blends well with the refined notes of French oak, roasted coffee and chocolate.
A great match for traditional dishes of northern Spain, ideally containing a wine based sauce such as Oxtail casserole, beef cheek in red wine sauce, casseroles with sweet vegetables as garnish (leeks, carrots, aubergines or peas) poultry with mixed vegetables.
