Beringer Cabernet Sauvignon Knights Valley, California, 2014
Mostly Cabernet Sauvignon with a classic bordeaux touch of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot aged in French oak barrels (25 percent new) for 16 months.
The 2014 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with vivid aromas of rich, ripe blackberry fruit, espresso, lavender and subtle licorice spice. The mouthfeel is plush with a very firm structure. This wine has supple blueberry and blackberry fruit notes accented by dark chocolate and a lingering, smooth finish.
"Buttery vanilla, cherry and plum notes give this wine a plush backdrop of fruit and rich, round texture... With additional cedar and graphite components before unleashing a lasting chocolate flavour on the finish. " 90/100 Wine Enthusiast
