This venerable cask matured Malmsey possesses the superb full luscious honeyed style of this classic Madeira variety. Its robust character has been tempered by the prolonged ageing in oak casks.

"Lots of smokiness – acrid. Strange combination of vegetal notes with dried fruit. This is bottled esoterica. Long, flavourful, memorable, sweet but not saccharine. Extremely loveable, but also incredibly odd"

"Sweet fortified white made exclusively from Malvasia (Malmsey), aged for at least 15 years in American oak casks according to the traditional canteiro process (natural estufagem). A great example of the rich style, it shows an excellent balance between its vibrant acidity and its sweetness, all wrapped in dried fruits and jam. Unctuous, deep and intense, it has a firm and creamy texture and a long and dense finish, with saline touches, orange peel, almonds, hazelnuts, cocoa and sweet spices. Alcohol 19%."
