Chablis Grand Cru, Les Blanchots, Burgundy, 2014, Jean Marc Brocard
100% Chardonnay unoaked with Malolactic fermentation in Stainless steel vats for 14 months.
A top vintage for white burgundy and especially Chablis. Buttered, toasted, salt, final salivating, floral, fine wine, good density and persistence in the mouth. Great with fish, seafood and shellfish, grilled or in a cream sauce. Also with poultry and white meat, grilled or in a cream sauce.
The Grand Cru Blanchots takes root on a very steep slope, catching the early morning sun (Southeastern exposure): a unique characteristic which results in a powerful wine with an equally unique attack on the palate. A very mineral style in the end of mouth. A beautifully harmonious wine.
