Grape: 100% Chardonnay, marl/sand over limestone soil, 0.27ha vineyard planted 2013, manual harvest, barrel fermented, one year maturation in French oak barrels (15%-25% new) with lees stirring

The primary aromas of this wine are ample, with notes of white stone fruit underlined by a summery minerality. Generous and supple, it can be drunk young and please everyone.

Critic's Tasting Note:

"(from young vines in Les Voillenots). A less elegant though nicely expressive nose reflects notes of resin, petrol, rosemary oil and citrus zest. Like the 2019 version, the sleek and nicely intense medium weight flavors possess very good volume for such young vines, all wrapped in a caressing, even plush, moderately dry finish that flashes just a hint of rusticity. Very good quality here and I especially like the length."

Famous 12ha Burgundian domaine with a history going back to the 16th century. Since 2009, Louis' two sons, Jacques and Francois, now run their own estates with the vineyards shared between them. Most of the vines are grown in Puligny-Montrachet with tiny amounts in the Grand Crus, Bienvenues-Bâtard-Montrachet and Chevalier Montrachet. Both brothers produce wine in Chassagne-Montrachet.

Food Match: Grilled lobster and langoustine, fish or poultry in cream sauces, Epoisses or Roquefort cheeses.
