These Magnums of Chateau Cissac have been cellared in great conditions since being bought directly from the Chateau by an ex employee who we bought them off. A great chance to drink to drink some mature Château Cissac.
"Good old Cissac, arguably even slower-maturing than a first growth (although the current regime claims to be changing this). Looks very young. Very, very firm. Quite noble even if a bit dry on the finish. A success for this château"- Jancis Robinson
Note from the Vilard Family
"From the onset of 1990 with above average temperatures and early flowering in May there were always a lot of expectations that this would be a very good vintage and it was. This wine is showing a little maturity now but still has a rich ruby colour with reflections of brick red. There is a fine viscosity and the nose is rich and complex with ripe cassis, spices, woody notes and hints of vanilla. In the mouth, full to medium bodied with ripe firm tannins and dark berry fruit culminating in a long, full and elegant finish. A wine to drink now or leave in the cellar for a few years."
