Beautiful cherry red colour and revealing intense aromas of red fruits. It is a soft, round, fruity and easy drinking wine. Excellent served with lighter meals and enjoyable at most times of the day.
Constructed in the 12th century, Chateau de la Pierre was one of the principal fortifications which defended the capital of the Lords of Beauieu. The vineyard spreads out over 35 acres. The vines have an average age of 50 years and those grown on sandy, light soil give wines classified as Beaujolais-Villages.
