Chateau La Croix Blanche is a 7 hectare estate in the newly named appellation of "Francs Côtes de Bordeaux". It is farmed organically with the Grand Vin having a balance of 85% Merlot with 15% Cabernet Franc. Lively aromas combining cassis and Asian spices, cedarwood, tobacco and a hint of cloves, with notes of redcurrant and raspberry. Full bodied and juicy, you get dark fruits, such as ripe blackberries and blueberries dominating the palate, followed by shades of chocolate, coffee, and a slightly roasted oak note. The acidity of the wine is fresh and highlights the fruitiness, while the aftertaste is long and ends with a spicy and light mineral touch.
