Grapes: A blend of 93% Semillon, 6% Sauvignon and 1% Muscadelle, 18ha vineyard on gravel/clay over limestone soil, 40 year old vines, barrel fermented, aged 18-29 months in French oak

"The Chateau Lafaurie Peyraguey has a mineral-led, citrus-driven bouquet that is tightly wound at first - delicate touches of orange blossom and apricot emerging from the glass. The palate is well-balanced and attired with a mellifluous, spicy entry. There is certainly good weight and concentration here, the finish long and satisfying, perfectly controlled. This is always a dark horse Sauternes and in 2013 they have produced something a little bit special."

"Light to medium deep golden colour. Fresh nose with floral hints, lemon and lime notes with fresh yellow fruit, mild spices and earl grey. The palate has a dense texture but with a good level of freshness and zest, nicely layered with an approaching complexity and long lasting finish, good drinkability."
