Grapes: A blend of 87% Semillon, 10% Sauvignon Blanc and 3% Muscadelle, clay/limestone soil, "lutte raisonnée" viticulture, hand picked

Chateau Septy, located on the left bank of the Dordogne in the Bergerac region, produces one of the most famous sweet white wines in France. A superb Monbazillac with an elegant and gourmet profile. Aromas of apricot and peach with a touch of vanilla and smoke. A very nice balance between the sweet touch of exotic fruits and honey and the freshness on the finish that makes it digestible.

Critic's Tasting Note:

"A beautiful, bright gold color for this 2018 Montbazillac, which offers a beautiful aromatic palette of stewed apple, quince paste, orange blossom, and notes of acacia honey. On the palate, the lively attack of candied lemon brings a perfect balance to the richness of this sweet wine. Then we find the honeyed and orange blossom notes until the long finish, with ripe apricot and a hint of almond. Perfect with semi-cooked foie gras with pepper, a real egg flan, or even a lemon tart."
