Grape: A blend of 94% Syrah & 6% Viognier, steep mica/schist soil slopes, wild yeast fermentation, aged 18 months in large French oak (600L), bottled unfiltered

Producer Tasting Note:

A complex aromatic palette combining aromas of red and black fruits (raspberry, blackcurrant, etc.) with floral hints (violet in particular), evolving into spicy notes. The three plots are vinified and aged separately, only being blended one month before bottling.

The wine has cherry, cola cube and graphite notes on the nose. The palate has a sense of opulence that is tempered by very fine and detailed tannins that really support the wine beautifully. A streak of acidity lifts it and gives energy and balance to the wine – a complete and very appealing style.

"Tasted blind. Super-reductive nose at the moment. The palate has raspberry, clove, pepper and fine-grained tannins. In a reductive state at the moment, but seamless tannins and a fresh, zesty core beneath. Hard to judge but looks like it has everything there" Drink 2025-2032
