Grape: 100% Verdejo, organic, sand/clay/limestone soils, 700 m.a.s.l. altitude, unoaked
Carefully crafted organically, the Verdejo variety has a slight bitterness added to the gooseberry, apple and herb (mint leaf) aromas that are characteristic of the variety with a fresh, invigorating acidity. The finish is long with beautiful notes of grapefruit and lime grass.
Couple Nuna Altés and Rafael de Hann's Catalan (Terra Alta) based Herencia Altes winery was established in 2010 and they now make wines from all across Spain. "El Convertido", produced by the family estate De Hann Altés in Spain's largest wine region of La Mancha, celebrates much of the region's conversion to sustainable and organic farming.
