100% Orange Muscat forified and aged in oak for 3 months.
With an aroma reminiscent of orange blossom and apricots. The palate is rich and sweet, with vibrant peachy and orangey fruit. Ends with a lingering, refreshing aftertaste.
The distinctive flavour of Esssensia wine is derived from the Orange Muscat grape. Found in France, Spain and Italy, where it is called "Moscato fior d' Arancio" (Orange Blossom Muscat), the variety has characteristics of oranges.
At Quady, they make only dessert wines. Beginning in 1975 with California Vintage Port, they first made Essensia in 1980, Elysium from the Black Muscat in 1983, and Electra from Orange Muscat in 1990.
