French Fancies 6 Bottle Wine Selection

Corbieres Veganaa Domaine La Bouysse, Languedoc.

This organic red wine, blended from Syrah, Carignan and Grenache, has a nose of light toast, with typical blackcurrants, liquorice and burlat cherry fruit. On the palate, it's round with mellow tannins and velvety ripe fruit. 

Cotes du Rhone Michel Chapoutier, Rhone.

A 50/50 blend of Syrah and Grenache. A superb wine with rich aromas of dark red fruits, earthy minerals and spice. Soft and round on the palate with smooth tannins, rich blackberry and cherry fruit, hints of liquorice and a substantial finish. 

Fleurie Presidente Marguerite, Beaujolais.

Light in body, with bright cherry and red fruit aromas from the Gamay grape. A fresh palate of soft red summer fruits, together with hints of strawberries and raspberries in this delightful red wine. Soft tannins and highly drinkable.  

Soleil des Alpes Rose, Provence.

Blending mostly Grenache with some Syrah and Cinsault, this classic Provence rosé boasts a pale pink colour. The nose yields aromas of red berries with a touch of floral notes. The mouthfeel is pleasantly complex with a remarkable balance between freshness and minerality on the finish.

Bourgogne Chardonnay Domaine Nuiton-Beaunoy, Burgundy.

Light gold in colour with aromas of white flowers. On the medium bodied palate there are flavours of white fleshed fruits, particularly pear, together with stone fruits such as apricot. On the lighter side of Chardonnay, elegant and refreshing with lots of mineral notes coming through.

Petit Chablis Domaine Manants, Chablis.

A white green colour, the nose is fine and delicate with white fruits, cherry plum and crystallised citrus. The mouth reveals spicy and slightly acid notes, on candy aromas. In the Petit Chablis appellation, the Chardonnay variety is known for making ultra fresh wines with a dry, steely character.
