Sancerre Blanc 'Monts Damnes', Domaine Paul Prieur et Fils, 2020 (Sauvignon Blanc)

Winemaker, Luc Prieur, works with vines from the legendary, south-facing slope of "Monts Damnes". producing a rich, weighty cuvée with generous ripe stone and tropical fruit, cut with a rapier-like line of acidity. Classic Sauvignon Blanc!

Pouilly Fumé, Château De Tracy, 2023 (Sauvignon Blanc)

The wines of Pouilly-Fumé are known for their flinty, "struck match" style. The organic De Tracy has a very intense & complex aroma with tropical fruits, honeysuckle & lemon. The palate has mineral, lime & grapefruit with a toasty finish

Saumur Blanc Vieilles Vignes, Domaine Langlois-Chateau, 2018 (Chenin Blanc)

Owned by Maison Bollinger since 1973, this is a full-bodied, rich, but dry example of old vine Chenin Blanc. Honeyed and floral with powerful, candied peach and dried fruits, well-judged oak and a hint of coconut on the finish

Chateau de Fosse Seche, Eolithe, Saumur Rouge, 2020 (Cabernet Franc)

Low yielding, old vine fruit makes the superbly polished red "Eolithe", created with biodynamic winemaking techniques, by the twin Piré brothers. It's all about the briary plum, damson & wild cherry fruit finishing with olive, pepper & tobacco

Sancerre Rouge, Domaine de la Villaudiere, 2018 (Pinot Noir)

Old vines give this delicate red a lovely sweet fruit. The wine has an elegant, almost floral character on the nose. The palate is fresh with lovely raspberry fruit and undergoes judicious oak ageing. A bottle of this is an ideal pairing with duck.
