Joseph Perrier Vintage 2008 Cuvée Royale Brut Champagne
Made up of equal parts of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from an exceptional year. This cuvée ages for a minimum of five years prior to release. Supple and graceful, giving a floral bouquet with a full, rich style.
"Taut and mineral, this is an elegant example with tobacco and vanilla on the finely etched, creamy palate. There is a sense of purpose here, with high firm acidity." Decanter Panel Tasting 91/100
"Attractive freshness here with bright berries and a swathe of fine, spiced biscuits and tannins with a sleek, flinty, almond edge. Bright berries to close. Long, subtly savory pastry notes, too. Drink now." 93/100 James Suckling
The House of Champagne Joseph Perrier was established in 1825, and has been under the ownership of the same family (Pithois) since 1888. Now in the very capable hands of Jean-Claude Fourmon, a direct descendent of Paul Pithois, Joseph Perrier own roughly 21 hectares of vineyards on the Northern Slopes of the Valle de la Marne, which satisfies 30% of their production and ensures consistency and quality.
