Kilikanoon Pearce Road Semillon, Clare Valley, South Australia, 2014
Pale straw in colour with excellent clarity. The nose give elevated aromas of fresh lemons, cut grass and fine creamy French oak spices dominates. Delicate flavours of lemons on the front palate give way to creamy oak nuances and a natural acid twist complements the beautifully structured palate. Twice weekly lees stirring has really enhanced the wines complexity and aging potential.
Careful cellaring will see this wine last for at least 10-12 years. Rich, aged semillions, such as Pearce Road would best suit heavier seafood dishes, such as Lobster or prawns in garlic butter.
