Producer Tasting Note:

McManis Family Vineyards Pinot Noir is light purple amethyst in colour with a lustrous hue. Fresh strawberry, cherry pie filling and black cherry aromas, joined by hazelnut and vanilla bouquet. Bountiful sweet red fruit flavours are perceptible as the round silky wine passes through the mouth. Caramelized sugar and vanilla, lent to the wine from oak ageing, are perceptible in the finish.

Surrounded by lush vineyards, the McManis Family Vineyards winery is located on a 40-acre site near the town of Ripon, in California’s abundant northern interior. Constructed in 1998, the large-capacity winery is dedicated to producing high quality wines with “small winery” methods.

In 1990 Ron and his wife Jamie, bought their first vineyard and in 1995 McManis Family Vineyards was formed with the purpose-built winery arriving by the end of the Millennium. Now the McManis family own over 2,600 acres between the Ripon area and Lodi in California’s northern interior region.
