Mercurey Blanc Chateau de Chamirey En Pierrelet 2011
Chateau de Chamirey Mercurey Blanc En Pierrelet, Côte Chalonnaise, 2011
100% Chardonnay finished in oak (20% new).
"A deep honeyed intense nose, sweet deep rich and intense." William Frazier
The wine is showing a pretty yellow gold colour with green tints. It is limpid and bright. On the nose we easily point the lime aromas with grapefruit and firestone. We feel a strong minerality with an enjoyable freshness. The palate is full and creamy supporting notes of salted butter, viennoiseries and citrus. Balanced and harmonious, you will stay with the wine for a while. The Mercurey Blanc En Pierrelet 2011 will perfectly match with sea foods, fishes in a sauce, spiced white meats and fresh cheeses. It can be served from now at 12-14° C or kept in cellar between 3 and 5 years.
Château de Chamirey is situated in France, in the heart of the Burgundy vineyards. The En Pirrelet vineyard is a small terrace with a clayey-limestone soil showing limestone predominance. South-east exposed, just behind the Château.
