Meursault En L Orrmeau Domaine Yves Boyer Martenot 2011
Meursault En L' Orrmeau Domaine Yves Boyer Martenot, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, 2011
Immediately mineral, but with a mouth filling honeyed citrus character, hints of cinnamon spice and a long finish. A fine expression of both the terroir and the excellent vintage.
Light dusty overlay on a clean citrus note. Then more rounded and richer on the palate but with a fresh seam leading to a long finish.

“Located south of the Meursault village. Our parcel of land is from the vineyard behind Domaine Boyer-Martenot and next door to Magny. Our old vines were planted by Vincent's great grandmother Lucie in 1924 and have rooted deep into the clay soil that once housed elm trees used for building and construction. The richness in the soil helps create a very balanced and fresh wine.“
Domaine Boyer-Martenot is a family-run property, utilising traditional methods of production. One of Meursault’s rising stars, their philosophy is that great wine is made in the vineyard rather than the winery.
