Mitchell peppertree shiraz 2014
intense ruby red, aromas of the farmyard and bramble fruit. Smooth mouth feel, with leather, pepper and some overcooked dark fruit dominating. It still has grip, with good acidity and tannins that soften in the glass. Not subtle, and its a shame to miss the floral notes that you might expect. The relative lack of fruit is also a shame. Definitely a wine to drink with dark meat, cheese.
