Nero d`Avola Sicilia Rupe Secca 2017, Sicily, Italy
Grape variety, Nero D'Avola
Nero d'Avola is the most popular red wine grape in Sicily and is one of Italy's most important indigenous varieties, frequently compared with New World Shiraz wines due to its sweet tannins and plum and peppery flavours. This is an intense and smooth red wine, full of ripe red berry aromas and flavours supported by soft tannins. Perfect for enjoying with pasta dishes, can also be enjoyed on its own.
"Another stunningly impressive nero d’Avola that’s even more rounded and fruit-stuffed than Corbello. Ideal for barbecue food, this is a heady, lip smacking wine." Daily Mail 200 Best Summer wines 2018
