Producer Tasting Note:
Bright cherry colour with purple rim. Intense, with aromas of red and black fruit, accompanied by spice and light toast notes. The palate has good structure, is fruity, fresh, with sweet, balanced oak and very pleasant, soft tannins.

Bodegas Protos was established in 1927 and the co-operative's new winery is situated below the spectacular ramparts of Penafiel Castle in Valladolid province. Its members have 1400ha of vineyards spread across Valladolid, Burgos and Segovia. Many are high altitude sites (750m -1000m above sea level) on limestone soils.
