Two Rivers Convergence Sauvignon Blanc 2020, South Island, New Zealand
Grape variety, 100% Sauvignon Blanc
Sourced from the Awatere and Wairau valleys this is a cracking wine with intense tropical fruit flavours. Bright straw with golden and green hues, aromas of tropical fruits, exotic gooseberry, together with an attractive herbal, grassy pungency. On the palate, there is great concentration of flavour, together with a stylish elegance to the fresh, balanced and persistent flavours, with a long mineral finish.
An excellent match for Shellfish and Fish dishes.
"Marlborough, in all its glory, has been deftly captured by Two Rivers proprietor/winemaker David Clouston in this superb wine. Meadow-like fresh herb scents, including coriander and dill, set the tone. In the mouth, purity and focus, together with an ethereal texture, give the wine presence and class. "This is a thoughtful expression," noted Jack Glover. "And there's an energy about the fruit profile that I love."" John Saker
