Producer Tasting Note:

Dark ruby with a mahogany rim, this wine offers a complex nose showing splendid ripeness with mineral aromas, ripe fruits, figs, cherries and plums, tomato jam and dried apricots, cigar box, cherry blossom, harmonious and well-defined spicy touches of cinnamon, vanilla and clove. Some leather, tobacco and nutmeg. Musk, incense and kola nut. A background of toffee and balsamic notes. On the palate, it is harmonious, elegant, and velvety, with beautifully balanced tannins and exceptional length.

"Given the price of some of its competitors, this all-Tempranillo Gran Reserva is a steal. Showcasing the quality of the historic 2001 vintage, this has engaging aromas of dill, rose petal and vanilla spice, a hint of stony reduction, a chalky undertone and layers of wild strawberry, forest floor and tobacco leaf.
