Producer Tasting Note:

This wine has an attractive greenish-yellow colour. Its ageing in foudres has lent it citrus and green chilli pepper aromas, as well as saline notes. In the mouth, it is very structured and tense thanks to its high acidity and minerality. he finish is clean and persistent, with a subtle saline note coming through. his highly complex Sauvignon Blanc tempts you to enjoy it with food.

"White made exclusively from Sauvignon Blanc grapes from the Atacama region, with fermentation and aging for 11 months in oak foudres. Always consistent, this is another great edition of this wine. It shows herbaceous notes enveloping its crisp, fresh and vibrant citrus and white fruit, all underpinned by sharp acidity, firm and taut texture. Dry and very precise, it has a long and vertical finish, with saline, Tahiti lime and umami touches. For fresh oysters."

The Longomilla Vineyard was planted in 2007 and was Ventisquero's first source of grapes in the Huasco Valley. The vineyard sits on the river's alluvial terrace, on soils that are rich in stones but that also have some clay. Aged in foudres for six months, there are slightly spicy touches here, but mostly it's all about the white fruits and salty tones that are typical of the area, an extreme place in northern Chile, where the Atacama Desert begins. About 20 kilometers from the sea, the cold influence of the Pacific is evident here in the herbal notes as well as in the piercing acidity.
