It's cold outside, but this selection will warm you up, beautiful big, bold reds, lush Chardonnay, crisp Albarino and a quintessential Pouilly Fume, what’s not to like?

Grounded Cru Shiraz, Australia.

Deep inky purple in colour, this McLaren Shiraz offers intense blackberry, currants and spice aromas with a background of creamy vanilla oak derived from barrel maturation. The palate is long and dark, bursting with fruit flavour. The mid-palate generosity leads to a classy and elegant finish of great length. Tremendously satisfying, this wine ticks plenty of boxes for the Shiraz lovers out there. 

Appassimento Rosso Ca Vittoria, Puglia, Italy.

Characteristic notes of ripe and dried fruits, such as plums and raisins. The oak ageing gives the wine pleasant notes of chocolate and spices. A blend of Negroamaro, Malvasia Nera and Merlot grapes which are left to dry on the vines, concentrating the sugar in the fruit before fermentation. Perfect for roasts and game including wild boar and venison.

Marques de Riscal Reserva Rioja, Spain.

Mostly Tempranillo with a splash of Graciano. This Rioja has very expressive aromas with liquorice, cinnamon and black pepper, with just a subtle hint of the long cask-ageing, thanks to its great complexity and ripe, concentrated fruit. Fresh and easy to drink on the palate, good backbone and lovely, polished tannins. The long, persistent finish leaves gentle balsamic reminders of the finest quality. 

Icare Chardonnay, France.

A medium dry, buttery and smooth Chardonnay. A golden colour with a subtle oaky nose of coconut, peppermint leaves and fresh cream. The mouth is rich and very aromatic, with a persistent creaminess. Despite its roundness, the wine shows a surprising freshness.

Albarino Bernon Bodega Aquitania, Spain.

Dry, crisp and refreshing white wine from Galicia, having a light yellow appearance, with fresh citrus and orchard fruit aromas. On the palate, silky and precise, showing good lift with a lingering, bitter-lemon, zesty note and underlying minerality. Classic Albarino.

Pouilly Fume Domaine des Fine Caillottes, Loire, France.

Taut palate with lovely full, ripe and succulent stuffing, a chalky impression, restrained freshness. Distinguished expression of Sauvignon Blanc. Crisp, fresh and dry white from the flinty terroir of the Loire, displaying the typical smokiness of quality Pouilly Fume.
