Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2012
Wolf Blass Black Label Cabernet Sauvignon Shiraz 2012, South Australia
Grape variety, a blend of Langhorne Creek Cabernet Sauvignon 54%, Barossa Valley Shiraz 41% and Malbec 5%.
Lush, ripe blackberries, blackcurrants and black cherry fruit with a hint of oak and toffee apple combine to form a deeply powerful, rich and intense palate.
Enjoy with traditional roasted meats and game dishes, it will also match superbly with well-aged cheddar.
The first Black Label wine was created back in 1973 and quickly established itself as the flagship. Over time, it has become one of Australia's most awarded wines, winning the Jimmy Watson Trophy an unprecedented four times. The principle behind Black Label never changes, each year it must represent the finest red wine Wolf Blass can make from the best grapes they can source. The individual parcels of fruit were de-stemmed, crushed and fermented in new French and American oak. After ferment, the wine is racked, then put back in the same barrels for maturation for a further 26 months.
