Last week I was fortunate enough to attend a tasting hosted by Bertrand Amboise and he gave us a brief synopsis of the 2012 Burgundy vintage as it relates to his wines.
Production
Corton – Whites no produced all destroyed by hail – Reds a little wine made. Mersault – a small amount produced and a normal in production Nuits St George and Vosne Romanée. Overall the production was 50% of normal levels with only 30% in the White wines.
Quality
However Bertrand assures us that the quality of the wines will be excellent.
