Grapes: 55% Chardonnay 45% Pinot Noir, part barrel fermented and 4 years on the lees after the secondary fermentation.
This method Tasmanoise dry sparkling wine has pale gold colour with a fine bead and persistent mousse. Intense and complex aromas of preserved lemon, peach skin and hazelnuts with underlying nuances of white flowers and freshly baked brioche. Layered and elegant, the palate displays notes of candied citrus zest, sea spray, rose water and strawberries.
"This blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir spends four years on lees, resulting in a richer, more complex wine than Jansz's non vintage cuveé. A nose of apple and pear skins marries with soft honey, toast and floral notes. The palate is chalky in texture, with vibrant bubbles, yeasty honey-flecked apple fruit and a lengthy finish.
