Grape: 70% Tempranillo & 30% Graciano, organic, hand picked, aged 18 months in French oak barrels with more than 3 years in bottle before release.
A classic, elegant and well rounded Reserva from an outstanding vintage. Clean and bright cherry colour, with expressive aromas of balsamic and spices, toasted almonds, while in the background ripe red fruit. Integrated fruit and oak on the palate, with velvety tannins and hints of balsamic and spices. A very agreeable dark chocolate aftertaste.
A great match with lamb or game. Try charcoal grilled squab (pigeon) in a red wine sauce, Woodcock casserole, hare in chocolate sauce, deer with wild berries.
