Michel Chapoutier first set out to explore the terroir of Australia back in 1997 and promptly set up in South Australia. It was only a short time after though that Michel decided that it was Victoria that held the greatest potential to produce medium-bodied wines of style and substance. The Lady's Lane vineyard was only procured in recent years though, is nestled in Heathcote and produces probably Michel's earthiest Australian wine.
