Grapes: 51% Cabernet Sauvignon, 41% Merlot, 8% Petit Verdot, Terra Vitis® integrated viticulture, 20 year old average vine age, machine harvested with optical sorting, fermentation in stainless steel tanks, aged 12-14 months in oak (30% new wood each year)

113ha of vineyards make up the vineyards at Beaumont which is located at Cussac, between the communes of Margaux and Saint-Julien, on a single plot with deep, sandy/gravel soils.

Critics' Tasting Notes:

"Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2020 Beaumont opens with expressive notions of baked red cherries, mulberries and redcurrant jelly, plus hints of dried mint, pencil shavings and charcoal. The medium-bodied palate delivers a good amount of crunchy red fruits with soft tannins and just enough freshness, finishing with an herbal lift."

"Tobacco, cigar box, cedar and peppery red currants pop with no effort in the nose. The fresh, sweet, vibrant, round palate is even better with its layers of sweet, earthy, tobacco stained fruit and fresh mint. This is already a delight to taste, and it will be even better with a few years of age. This is clearly a big step up here in quality and character and is easily the best vintage of Beaumont I have ever tasted. Drink from 2024-2038."
