Grapes: 45% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon & 15% Malbec, soils are a mix of limestone/clay/gravel, destemmed bunches, 6 months ageing in vat before bottling, unoaked
Sichel, who have worked with the property for many years, purchased the chateau and took full control of production from the 2019 vintage.
Aromas of cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant flower and redcurrant with notes of pepper, a little nutmeg and liquorice.
On the palate it is expressive, with ripe tones of red fruit, balanced by delicate acidity which provides a lift of freshness and purity. The high proportion of Cabernet Franc gives plenty of red fruit character with the Malbec adding spiciness.
