"Mid crimson, not as dark as many in 2018. Gentle, lightly spiced dark-red fruit, nicely stony. A little bit of oak sweetness on the palate but mainly a gentle, rounded wine that is really quite approachable (as long as you drank it with food) even though it’s so young. A lightness of touch and more obvious freshness than in many 2018s, perhaps because the other components are relatively restrained. (JH)"

"Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Fourcas-Dupre opens a little shy with subtle black raspberry, redcurrant jelly and cassis scents followed by suggestions of garrigue, bay leaves and tilled soil. Medium to full-bodied, it has a solid line of chewy tannins tagged with compelling freshness sparking energy into the bright fruit, finishing mineral laced."
