Depaz Plantation Rhum Port Cask Finish Martinique
Depaz Port Cask Finish aged rum is matured for at least eight years in selected small oak barrels. It is then finished for eleven months in port casks which endow it with gourmet stewed fruit and fig aromas.
Colour: golden almond, fiery red.
On the nose: mature rum with a complex wealth of aromas, finished in old port casks.
On the palate: Initial aromas: delicately oaked notes structured with vanilla, chocolate and fig jam.
Subsequent aromas: a touch of mature port, hazelnut and dried fruit notes, gourmet cocoa and rose jam.
Final aromas: subtle jasmine, coffee, chocolate, black tea and plum notes.
Serving suggestion: most enjoyable with mature cigars or a mellow, rich dark chocolate dessert.
