Description

Halfpenny Pinot Noir, South Staffordshire, England, 2020

Grape: Pinot Noir, aged in oak

A beguiling complexity on the nose and palate, with blackcurrant, plums and nudges of an Assam tea spice coming forward.

Halfpenny wines are all hand-crafted by the Vickers family, using grapes grown in 30 acres of vineyards in South Staffordshire. The first vineyard at Halfpenny Green was planted by Martin Vickers in 1983 and now there are 16 different grape varieties grown for production of award-winning sparkling and still wines.

Drink this Pinot Noir wine with lamb and duck dishes, alongside roasted root vegetables and creamier dishes such as dauphinoise potatoes.
