The prestige cuvee of Joseph Perrier with the 2014 vintage being the 175th anniversary of Josephine Perrier's marriage which inspired the production of the cuvée. Only 5000 numbered bottles produced.
The colour of this wine approaches a very bright golden yellow. Subtle and inspiring, revealing dried nut aromas such as lightly grilled hazelnuts, the promise of elegance and complexity to come.
The palate begins on juicy ripe pears and other white fruits, followed by delicately dusted notes of lily of the valley, complemented by spicy and peppery flavors. A subtle, bewitching, complex palate with a very good length.
Pair "Josephine" through a whole meal starting with a scallop carpaccio or fresh sea bass. Its vinosity and effervescence lighten the smokiness of game or an Iberian pork meat course. Finally, serve with pastries containing candied apricots & walnuts.
How to serve: Chill in an iced bucket for 20 minutes before serving. Best enjoyed at 10-12°C.
