Age before beauty?

Age before beauty?

Published by Francis Elms on 4th Jul 2022

Age before beauty? A very well used phrase. When applied to wines, drinking your choice for the weekend means picking a bottle that is at its peak of development. You'll experience all the wine can offer in terms of both flavour and texture and, surprisingly, its not always the expensive bottles that win on quality. Some wines just take a decade or two to show what they can do and you have to wait until they're ready!

If you can't wait, now's you chance to partake in bottles which have been carefully aged and lovingly looked after for many years. Beautiful wines, aged to perfection.

Frazier's are offering you the opportunity to buy mature, drinking wines from a private client's extensive cellar.

Mostly top class, red Bordeaux & Vintage Port, plus the odd Chateauneuf, Ribera & sweet Sauternes, there are some stunning bottles available!

From "Left Bank" First Growths such as Mouton Rothschild and Haut-Brion to numerous, aspiring Second Growths including Lascombes and Rauzan-Gassies, your thirst for excellent Cabernet Sauvignon, ready to drink, can be found here.

"Right Bank" wines from Pomerol, plush and luxuriously textured Merlot, along with their delicious counterparts from Saint-Emilion's finest Grand Cru Classe such as Cheval Blanc & Troplong Mondot are also in the collection of some of the best Bordeaux you can buy.

If your taste runs to wines with complexity and secondary, aged flavours, but you can't justify keeping wine yourself for twenty years, or so, you need to explore these fantastic bottles right now.

Most can still be kept longer, but can easily be enjoyed at their peak, at any dinner party with friends, or just for a quiet night in at home.
