Ribera Del Duero

The Ribera del Duero is a high, arid plateau with vineyards at around 800m, in the middle of Northern Spain to the south west of Rioja, which produces some of the most highly prized wines in the world. A short, late, extreme growing season and Spain's most famous grape, Tempranillo, produces fantastically rich and powerful wines that at their best require cellaring for ten or more years.
