Chateau Palmer, 3eme Cru Classé Margaux, Bordeaux, France, 2004

Grapes: A blend of 47% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon and 7% Petit Verdot, 55ha vineyard on gravel soil, aged in French oak barrels

Palmer is renowned for its fleshy texture derived from the unusually high proportion of old vine Merlot in the blend. Many of these vines were planted in the 1930s.

The 2004 wines appear very classic compared to those of 2003, but magnificently combine the breed and finesse of our terroir with the flesh and power of a very great year. Wines that reflect the generosity of the Palmer vineyard.
