Pol Roger Brut Reserve Non Vintage Champagne.

A classic Champagne blend of 33% Pinot Noir, 34% Chardonnay and 33% Pinot Meunier.  

Pol Roger Brut Réserve displays a beautiful golden straw coloured hue, as well as an abundance of fine bubbles. With a powerful and attractive nose, it first delivers aromas of green apple and pear developing into notes of honeysuckle and brioche. On the palate the wine has a remarkable freshness, whilst preserving a robust structure. Flavours of quince jelly and apricot jam marry beautifully with acacia honey. Notes of candied orange peel and sweet cardamom spice are long-lasting.

An ideal apéritif Champagne, as served at the Wedding of William and Kate The Duke and Duchess Of Cambridge (29th April 2011), but which also has sufficient backbone to be drunk with fish and even spicy dishes. 

Brut Réserve is composed from 30 still base wines drawn from at least two vintages, and the three grape varieties of Champagne, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier blended in equal portions. The Pinot Noir comes from the villages of the Montagne de Reims and contributes body and character; the Chardonnay comes from Epernay itself and the Cote des Blancs and provides lightness and elegance; the Pinot Meunier comes from the Vallée de la Marne and provides youthfulness and vigour. Not released until it is at least three years old. Pol Roger Brut Reserve Champagne receives an additional 6 months post-disgorgement ageing for the UK so it is ready to drink upon release but cellaring for a few years will reveal greater depths.
