Unlike her serious Brunello, the Rosso di Montalcino from Giovanna Neri is made for drinking young, usually 1-2 years from release.
Colour: deep ruby red with violet nuances, clear.
Perfume: intensely and widely scented, floral lavender and rose bud, cherries and blackberries.
Flavour: wild berries, cranberries, fresh and harmonious with excellent, balanced tannins.
Drink with a slice of Porchetta (fennel roasted pork), Provolone cheese and Tuscan bread. The classic ham & cheese sandwich, but done with Italian style!
